After graduating from the University of Illinois with a degree in Political Science, Janea originally started working at LCLC to gain experience in the workforce before furthering her education in law school. However, LCLC quickly became much more than that. She immediately adopted the same passion, commitment, and love that LCLC holds for their community, and it also became her own. She hopes to continue her education and career in a field dedicated to the same goal as LCLC: Changing our idea of criminal justice and ending the arrest/incarcerate/release/repeat cycle that so many of our people fall victim to.
