Laura is a long-time advocate for racial justice and educational equity. She joined LCLC precisely because of its unique, holistic approach to justice-involved youth. Inspired (and heartbroken) after law school by the disparities on display in the criminal justice system, she has focused her work on incarcerated and justice-involved youth and emerging adults. Laura is motivated by the strong bonds she builds with her clients and the small everyday victories—when she sees a client believe in himself and his future. She received her B.A. from Vanderbilt University and J.D. from Loyola University Chicago School of Law where she was editor-in-chief of the Loyola Law Journal.
