Over Mindy Wade’s career in accounting and finance, she has worked in both for-profit and nonprofit entities. An early role with the Salvation Army motivated Mindy to consider a nonprofit career path, but she wanted to first develop the business acumen needed for a successful finance professional. On the for-profit side, her experience ranges in organizations from small businesses to a Fortune 50 company. In 2016 she was given the opportunity to return to the Chicagoland area and to a nonprofit corporation when she took her most recent position as the Finance Manager of a mid-sized nonprofit service organization in the Woodlawn community. Mindy joined the LCLC because she wanted to contribute to the organization’s important criminal justice and restorative justice work. She is originally from Chicago’s Albany Park neighborhood, directly north of North Lawndale, and she truly believes in LCLC’s community-based approach.
Mindy holds a Master of Accounting Science (MAS) from the University of Illinois. She is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and a Certified Management Accountant (CMA).
