Lawndale Christian Legal Center is a holistic community-based legal practice serving North Lawndale, Austin, East Garfield Park and Little Village. Every LCLC client receives services with a family-centered approach and a dedicated case manager who coordinates a wraparound support team of legal, social, psychological and job-training professionals. This on-the-ground program walks clients through, and then away from, the criminal justice system.
In an effort to provide financial assistance to meet the housing needs of Chicago’s low-income residents, the Chicago Low-Income Housing Trust Fund (CLIHTF) offers the Rental Subsidy Program. CLIHTF works with landlords to provide rental subsidies to Chicago residents with incomes not exceeding 30 percent of area median income. The Rental Subsidy Program provides rental subsidies paid directly to the property owner in a lump sum, three months in advance of each quarter.
Landlords can call LCLC's housing number (773) 823-7801 or email housing@lclc.net and amy.tran@clihtf.org for general inquiries and to request additional information.
