Cristina is a graduate of Northwestern’s Law School where she co-counseled a case with LCLC while working at the Bluhm Legal Clinic and fell in love with LCLC’s holistic legal model. A trip to a New York State prison during her senior year of college opened her eyes to the conditions and inhumanity of our justice system and led her to volunteer work with the Cornell Prison Education Program and eventually to law school. Cristina tries to bring humanity into the courtroom so system players see our clients for who they really are. She hopes that her advocacy will lead to more fair and just outcomes for our clients and minimize their contact with the system. She is moved by seeing her clients achieve their goals and trying new things.
