Kelsey studied law at City University of New York School of Law at Queens College, and came to LCLC to help Black and Brown youth and their families live with dignity, free from the oppressive shackles of the criminal justice system. Growing up, her family called her “Kelsey, Defender of the Universe”; she has always been committed to defending others, particularly vulnerable populations. Kelsey hopes to help young people realize that they are worthy of success, that they are valuable and deserve to be surrounded by people who support them. She is fueled by the racial injustices she observes and learns about daily. She recharges with music and can be found at a concert or singing karaoke on any given weekend.
