Witnessing the disparate treatment of Chicago’s minority youth by law enforcement firsthand, Mark has made it his priority to oppose injustice wherever he finds it. Mark received his Juris Doctor from Valparaiso University. After working for the City of Chicago in the Collection Ownership and Litigation Division, Mark founded and operated a law firm offering criminal and civil litigation services to the underrepresented. Mark believes that his clients are unique individuals and not the sum of the charges or complaints levied against them. After over a decade of offering low cost and pro bono legal services to urban minority youth, Mark has successfully tried numerous misdemeanor and felony cases and negotiated scores of plea agreements to the benefit of his clients throughout the State of Illinois.
Mark has provided consulting and asset management services to the stakeholders of hotels, restaurants, bars, and mixed-use facilities; providing strategic planning, operations, as well as sales and marketing support. Mark is delighted to utilize his background and experience to assist LCLC in its mission by facilitating the seamless integration of the legal and social service processes of the organization to ensure that client needs are met.
