Phillip is dedicated to providing client-focused representation and increasing access to justice. Prior to coming to LCLC, he was in private practice for five years where he focused on criminal defense and represented clients on all classes of felony and misdemeanor cases. Before coming to Illinois, he worked at a small firm in Ohio for about three years where he also focused on criminal defense and worked primarily with indigent clients. Phillip’s experience working with a variety of clients and practicing in multiple states and counties helps him approach every case with an open mind and gives him a well-rounded approach to case analysis. He is proud to have volunteered for First Defense Legal Aid where he provided free station-house representation to those arrested by CPD. In August of 2021, he was blessed to attend the two-week Trial Practice Institute hosted by the National Criminal Defense College in Bristol, Rhode Island. Phillip hopes to use all of the tools he has to help LCLC clients achieve the best possible outcomes in their cases. He also hopes that his role in the holistic approach at LCLC, along with the case managers and outreach workers, can keep LCLC clients out of future involvement with the criminal justice system.
